During the 15 years with Kennametal I held different positions within the Technology Organization linked to new product / process development. My career started with developing and successfully launching several solid carbide drilling products. After 7 years in product engineering I transferred into the Grade Development Team and relocated from European Technology Headquarter in Germany to Corporate Headquarter in Latrobe, PA (USA). Withing Grade Development I was responsible for round tool cutting grades for 4 years before taking over managing responsibility for the team. Grade Development consists of 8 engineers with main task to manage the company’s metalcutting materials portfolio and to develop new materials solution supporting our customers solving their machining needs.

Dr Andy Lee is currently the Director for New Business & Digital in the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) of the Agency for Science, Technology And Research (A*STAR).
Prior to this, Andy worked and managed in various industries ranging from agro-biotech, contract manufacturing, to food & beverage. Andy was trained as a nano-ceramics composite materials scientist with a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney, Australia.
About the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC)
The Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) is a contemporary platform built upon strong public-private partnerships. The ARTC is led by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), in partnership with the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore).
ARTC has a membership consortium with over 80 members, ranging from global multinational corporations (MNCs) to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
