Po-Han Chou

Manager, Animal Care

Speaker’s profile: Po-Han is currently deployed as a nutrition manager in the Wildlife Nutrition Centre at Mandai Wildlife Group, overseeing the diets of animals and providing nutritional advice. He holds a master’s degree in foraging ecology and is the appointed chair of the SEAZA Nutrition Network, coordinating zoo nutrition projects in Asia. Currently, Po-Han is a Ph.D. student at Ghent University, focusing on Wildlife Nutrition.

Dr Shangzhe Xie

Vice President, Veterinary Healthcare

Dr Xie Shangzhe is the Vice President of Veterinary Healthcare, Mandai Wildlife Group. The department ensures that the health and welfare of the animals under the group’s care is maintained through regular routine health checks, evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and cutting-edge veterinary medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Association of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian Practice, as well as the Asian College of Conservation Medicine.

Prior to Mandai Wildlife Group, Dr Shangzhe worked in various veterinary practices, including small animal practices, exotic pet practices, academia and zoological institutions across Australia, New Zealand, and USA.

Eric Leong

Arborist, Horticulture

Eric is a practicing Certified Arborist from the Horticulture Department. The department curates the immersive and natural inspired landscape in our parks that is home to world-renowned wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. He serves as our trustee and custodian for the trees and palms (arboriculture) in our wildlife parks to the vision of sustainable populations of wildlife and human communities thriving in our functioning ecosystems.

 

Being a digital native and having a passion for technology in his interest, he is driven to champion innovation by harnessing technology to boost the capabilities of our digital transformation for arboriculture.

Keryn Ng

Manager, Attractions Development

Keryn has been with Mandai since early 2016 at Mandai Park Development. She is one of the pioneer team members involved in the conceptualisation of the project’s vision. She has contributed to the conceptualising and curation of the visitor experiences for the Bird Paradise and the new Rainforest Park in various fields. As an architect, she manages exhibition design, project coordination, architectural design, and animal exhibit design. She has design and construction knowledge of largest aviary system in the world, animal containment strategy and pest control for animal enclosure. With her experience in architecture design, she manages to translate visitor journey and experiences into technical design with animal and operational requirements.
